A scent for domination and withheld passion, Jasmin will make people idealise the wearer, even in their most mysterious aspects.
Jasmine - ylang-ylang - patchouli - leather
[the olfactory signature]
The unmissable jasmine duo: a Chinese Sambac variety for green and vegetal accents, and an exclusive , more fruity and velvety “Vintage Le Galion” quality. Together, they make for an extremely floral aura.
A subtly fresh and green top note appears and then fades away, leaving space for the jasmine in all its glory. It reaches the height of its luminous and untamed power with the help of the floral narcissus, ylang-ylang, and lily. Patchouli, oak moss and leather bring a modest – yet suggestive – veil on top of this astounding floral composition.
Jasmin is one of the soliflores created in 1937 by Paul Vacher, who enjoyed experimenting with different compositions. Much later, Rodrigo Florès-Roux discovered the perfume when his English teacher wore it, lighting in him a fiery admiration for this chypre floral scent. It was with great pleasure and trembling excitement that he reworked the fragrance for Le Galion in 2020.
[a word from our perfumer]
“This fragrance is very dear to me. It is an immense privilege to get to know it so intimately, taking it apart to patiently build it back up again, recreating its aura and contributing, as I have, to its re-release. Of course, the jasmine takes centre stage, but the darker tones of patchouli, moss and leather make it resonate like clever, but also devilishly savage chypre – without the rose.”
