Description
A spiced burst of black and pink peppercorn precedes the haughty duo of rose and iris. In the heat of resin, myrrh and oud burn fast and bright in the powerful and flamboyant base.

Context
Back in the 1930s, when Le Galion was founded, Europe still bore the marks of the previous century’s wave of orientalism, which shone a spotlight on a preconceived image of the East by the West. Sovereign offers a lavish view of generosity as a highly prized quality in Middle-Eastern and North African regions, all from a very Parisian point of view.

“I have imagined a fragrance of great proportions, truly larger than life, a fragrance for those who burn bright and turn heads. First, the spices burst open, then comes the iridescent rose – a nod to the House’s chic French touch. All of these scents spin round on a never-ending luxurious base of amber, woods and resins.”
